Div 3 Leighlin 1-4 Eire Og 4-18

Unfortunately a place in the semi finals of the league went a begging

as a depleted Leighlin side shipped a heavy beating

at the hands of Eire Og in Ballinaboley.

Eire Og had built up a 4-7 to 0-1 half time lead with goals from

Corey Harmon, two from Mark Corcoran and one from Mark Kelly,

as Alan Quinn scored the home sides only point.

Leighlin did slightly better in the second half but were still outscored

by 0-11 to 1-3, Chris Rooster Kearney converting a fine point along

with Ciaran Casey and Lee Conran, while Alan Quinn pinged

one in the top right corner of the net in what was a mere

consolation goal for the All Blacks.
