JFC A: Leighlinbridge 1-5 St Patricks 1-16

It was a disappointing start for our first team at Netwatch Cullen

Park tonight as they went down to Tullow by 11 points.

Leighlin actually led through a Pakie Fleming free early on

but St Patricks opened up a 7 point lead after 17 minutes when

Willie Doran blasted past Zak Yongram.

In fairness to Leighlinbridge they kept plugging away and were

rewarded when Pakie Fleming struck for an important goal

before the break in a period where Zak made two vital stops.

The All Blacks came out fighting after the break but they could

never get in a position to tie the game and in the end Jack

Kennedy came to the fore and picked off some fine points

to give his side the two points on offer.
